Located just 12 miles south of Cincinnati, Alexandria is also the county seat. Named after Alexandria, Virginia, the home of its first settlers, this community enjoys a small town atmosphere with easy access to major highways. Housing is varied in style and price, with many homes on one or two acre lots.

Much of the housing in this community dates from the early decades of this century and a large number of homes have been designated as historic. Many homes have spectacular view of the river. In addition, this city is in the process of developing the riverfront area. Included in this development will be marinas, hotels, shops and luxury condos.

This community was named for a fresh, cold water spring that still flows underground. It is the home of the National Headquarters of the Disabled American Veterans. A large industrial park and several new subdivisions provide for varied housing options.

Named for a Civil War fort, Ft. Thomas is known as "The City of Beautiful Homes". You won't find industry here, but the streets are tree lined and many homes have highly sought after river or city views. All prices and styles of homes are offered in this community, and share a high degree of community involvement.

This is home to Northern Kentucky University. A range of affordable housing includes both older and newer homes, with condominiums & apartments. Many new shopping centers and subdivisions are being developed.

Three bridges connect Newport to downtown Cincinnati. The riverfront, with spectacular views of the city, has seen major growth over the last few years. Several of Newport's riverfront restaurants are among Greater Cincinnati's most popular. Many of the older homes date back to the 1800's and are historically designated. Newport also has several areas of new construction including luxury condominiums with river and city views.

This is a more typical middle class residential suburb, with older traditional homes that are moderately priced. Much of the newer residential development has been in condominiums. Easy access to the major highways and downtown Cincinnati make this an appealing community.
